I first read this on the 7th April 2022.

This is the fifth volume in the Breakers series.

In which Tristan and Alden, Ness and Sebastian, separately and together, fight back against the alien invasion.

I'm really enjoying this series. I love the interplay of characters, survivors from the earlier books popping up when you least expect them. Well, when I least expect them. I'm sure most people saw them coming a mile off. And it's lovely writing.

However I'm a little worried that Edward is stretching himself somewhat to manage all these novels. Some of the plot threads felt contrived and unrealistic. Yes, I know how that sounds when you're talking about squid-like aliens infecting humanity with deadly viruses. However, this has not phased me - I will continue reading, avidly. Next up is "Captives".

Loaded on the 12th June 2022.
